Santacon happened this weekend, I also heard of rumors of one the 13th but have no info on it. Santacon is….a pubcrawl “people walking or crawling from bar to bar like most friday nights for some people” but in Santa Suits or Christmas related attire. I love it and it’s fun. I don’t drink and never have so it’s kind of odd for me to love this event but it’s a blast to see “my friends” and so many others have a good time in a Santa costume.

We have had some crazy clouds during the mornings over the last 3 weeks. I think over the next couple weeks I’ll be going to Peacock Lane, the huge tree at Pioneer Square and Zoo lights along with getting a tree of my own….Stay tuned for the goodness of Winter.

It was amazing to see the storm front move in like it did. I didn’t even notice the black clouds at first when I was doing work stuff until this loud boom happened. I looked over my shoulder and noticed a huge wall of black down the way, but it was blue and pretty over head. crack, boom another invisible lightning strike during the day made me think, how can I get a good photo of the clouds and blue sky. Being in Woodburn made it difficult since it’s flat and no chance to drive up a “the” hill for a better view around the light polls and cars. I did get some normal driving shots with the parted blue sky and black but it didn’t do any justice to the craziness of this.

I was looking around and noticed that, I’m kidding. I was upset I didn’t have duct tape though.

It’s crazy how the fog just sits on the Willamette River. It’s like a wall of … fog. This was from Saturday and I was hoping it was going to happen again on Sunday but that would of been special, it usually doesn’t happen two days in a row. I rushed to the roof of my apartment and took a bunch of photo’s with my goofy big lens. It kind of sucks but it does the job I need. You might of noticed I really like Mt. Hood. She’s a good little model.

Well, I didn’t. So I share what YOU missed. 

The girlfriend and I grew up just a couple miles apart and we went to the same high school, I’m just 5 years older then her so we never really met until less then a year ago. Well, she was house sitting for her dad and a few weeks ago we had really nice mornings with crazy fog in the valley. So, we decided to have breakfast by sunrise, at 7am, on a water tower in Clackamas. Close to her dads and just a few from where I grew up. It was really cool, and cold. We ate really quick got some photo’s and bounced, back to bed for an after breakfast nap.

Who knows when we’ll see the sun in the mornings again, this is about as close as I’ve seen.

After leaving Mt. Hood Meadow’s before you get on HWY 35, this was the view. I couldn’t resist and stop and take many photo’s. The color version didn’t look good. Just like the last couple it’s an HDR “High Dynamic Range” 3 photo’s blended together. But in black and white it just turned out amazing. I think almost every photo from the Mt. Hood Adventure turned out great..It was a lucky day
