I just got this email from a listener….what a sad story! Can you help her out?

“I’m hoping you can help me by mentioning my story on the air. My kitten went missing on Thursday, and on Friday afternoon I found out my neighbor (four doors down) gave my kitten away at his garage sale on Concord Road (East of Oatfield Road) in Oak Grove/Milwaukie on Thursday morning, 9/25. My neighbor tells me he had never seen the cat before, so he thought it had been abandoned. First of all, I should have a collar on him before we let him out, but we didn’t. That’s my fault, but still — who gives unknown cats away?!! My kitten, Nicolai has NOT been micro-chipped yet and has not been neutered (he’s still too young). We had him for 6 weeks. He is currently 17 weeks old, orange tabby, with a long tail and erect ears. He has gold/green eyes and is very loving and sweet. My neighbor tells me the woman who he gave Nicolai to was driving a gray Volvo station wagon and she is around 50 years old, about 5′2″ with shoulder length brown hair. She said her intention was to give the cat to a neighbor who had recently lost their pet. She also said she lived in the area. I have 100 flyers I’ve posted and handed out/taped to neighbor’s doors. I’ve left flyers with all the local vets and pet supply stores. I have checked the shelters and Dove Lewis. I have 5 listings on Craigslist in multiple areas. I’m stalking gray Volvos. The woman who took my cat is not looking for an owner – she thinks she has done a good thing by rescuing this cat, so she might not see my flyers. I am desperate to find my cat and out of ideas.
